Staff drive company culture through charity involvement

It is one thing for an organisation to make noise about its values and culture, but quite another to show that they are genuine.

Fortunately, at Elastomers Australia, our team members are instrumental in driving our culture – and that includes giving back to the communities in which we live and work.

Throughout the year, groups and individuals take part in a vast array of fundraising activities and charitable events, while the company readily sponsors and supports numerous initiatives to help make the world a better place.

Many of our staff love their golf, but they are even more inspired to play when they know it’s for a good cause. Such is the annual Kestrel Charity Golf Day, which took place at the Emerald Golf Club in Queensland recently. Organised by Kestrel Coal Resources and the Emerald Rotary Club, Elastomers Australia was proud to participate as a sponsor on the day with proceeds going to a range of local charities to assist the Emerald Community.

The team is also spreading the Christmas cheer through sponsorship of the annual Special Kids’ Christmas Party in Mackay and Perth, which supports children living with disabilities and their families.

No doubt many of the team will be trimming their facial hair once again as they participate in Movember. It always provides some great photo opportunities, as well as raising funds to support men’s health.

All year round, the Elastomers Australia “Lifeblood” team makes valuable and lifesaving contributions with team members rolling up their sleeves to donate much-needed blood.

And that’s just a small sample of some of the charitable involvement undertaken at Elastomers Australia, according to Marketing Manager Danielle Sideris.

“Encouraging and supporting staff to participate in these sorts of activities that provide wide-ranging benefits is a key part of our everyday culture at Elastomers Australia,” she said.
