ELASTOMERS DEVELOPS FIRE-PROOF MEDIA
Following a major blaze at a processing site, Elastomers Australia embarked on a project to develop fire retardant screen media.
Elastomers Australia fed local communities last Christmas in support of Australian food relief organisation, Foodbank.
Foodbank work with over 2,600 frontline charities and 2,800 school breakfast programs across all states in Australia to provide food and groceries to those in need, with over 87.9 million meals donated every year.
For the festive season of 2023, Elastomers Australia endeavoured to reduce food insecurity, donating over 1000 litres of non-perishables, hygiene, and sanitary products between the 5 branches.
Foodbank projects that 3.7 million households go hungry over a 12-month period. In order to provide sufficient food for those in need, 50 per cent more than they currently donate is required to sufficiently meet the needs of those requiring assistance.
Remaining active in local communities is central to Elastomers Australia’s ethos. As an Australian made and owned screen media solutions business, reinvesting back into local families and households is a demonstration not only of their company DNA, but also their unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of communities across the country.
In conjunction with the food drive, Elastomers Australia’s Mackay branch amped up the joy, generously donating leftover children’s toys to the local radio station on behalf of the Salvation Army.
