PARTNERSHIP APPROACH YIELDS BETTER RESULTS
While unit cost of consumables in the mining industry is often the primary driver for…
For over a decade, it has been a pleasure for Elastomers Australia to support and volunteer at the Children’s Christmas Party in our local branch areas. This year a few of our team members volunteered at the Newcastle and Mackay Children’s Christmas parties at the local showgrounds. We also were able to support the Perth Christmas Party with a donation to their event.
Evie, our Senior OHS Advisor in Mackay thoroughly enjoyed the day alongside Amber Smith, Human Resource Advisor and Niomi Kelly, Business Operations Coordinator. Evie shared some important thoughts with us and how her experience opened her mind.
“When you think you know someone you don’t. There were people there I ran into that I had previously worked with and never knew they had children with disabilities. Even more reason to #bekind because you never know what others are going through in life behind the scenes.”
“Dig deeper, ask the personal questions at the right time to better understand those around you to provide support and empathy to listen to their story.”
“It was such a privilege to be given the opportunity to volunteer” – Evie Lawn, Senior OHS Advisor
Rebecca Vickers from our Singleton branch enjoyed her 3rd Children’s Christmas Party in Newcastle sharing her joy! “I was in the Toy room for most of the day… which is super fun – you just spend the whole-time helping kids pick out presents!”
In addition to this, Elastomers Australia is hosting a food appeal across our branches nationwide in the lead up to Christmas, to help fight hunger, provide nourishment and hope to those who need it most in our local communities.
Community events and appeals like these mean so much to Elastomers Australia and given us the opportunity to connect with the locals, get involved and give back to our local communities.
Spread some Christmas spirit this year and do what you can to give back to the local community.
